Currently he serves as the Vice-President of student development and enrollment management at Pasco Hernando Community College in New Port Richey, FL.

Sister Beard serves in numerous capacities in the Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. She is currently the Secretary of the National Women's Auxiliary Board. Also Sister Beard is president of the Women's Auxiliary Department; president of the Senior Choir; Education Director; member of the Lydia Prayer Band; coordinator of local Women's Conferences and Prayer and Spiritual Enrichment Retreats; Finance Secretary; Church Secretary; and a ministry leader for the Young Adult Transitional Ministry. She holds all these positions at the Progressive Church in Tallahassee, FL all with the exception of her national appointment.

Sister Beard was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Education in 1986, and a Master of Science Degree in Health Education in 1991. She has worked both in state government and higher education for the past 18 years. Currently she manages the Academic Success Center at Pasco-Hernando Community College in Dade City, FL.

Dr. and Sister Beard have been married for 23 years. To this union God has blessed them with three children: Samuel Gavin (deceased), Briana Princess and Sierra Nicole.

Dr. Timothy Beard is the Associate Pastor of the Progressive Church in Tallahassee, Florida and has filled this role for the past 23 years.

Dr. Beard obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in vocational rehabilitation services/counseling in 1986, a Master of Science degree in 1987, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in 1998 in vocational rehabilitation/counseling from Florida State University. He also possesses a national certification as a rehabilitation counselor and has provided private case management services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Dr. Beard has been employed in several administrative positions since 1990.
